2022: Pairings
In 2022, I worked on diptychs that combined my love of ornithology and drawing. I created pairs of drawings consisting of one self portrait and one bird species. I used home-made natural dyes and paints, often coating my body with these, and physically imprinting myself on different surfaces. At this time, I was also exploring methods for making paper and dying and staining paper and other surfaces.
