Artist, Wildlife Biologist, and Educator 

My name is Katie Simmons and I'm an artist, ornithologist, and educator. I hold BA degrees in visual art and art history and a BS in wildlife biology. I also have a MA degree in education. Currently, I'm an MFA candidate in visual art at Colorado State University in Fort Collins where I also teach. During time off from school, I work seasonally as a wildlife biologist to study passerine bird species. When I'm not working or making art, I enjoy training for ultra trail races and spending time with my family and dog.
